How much does a root canal cost?
For a root canal on your front tooth, the cost will range anywhere from $300 to $1,500, but a more typical range will be $900 to $1,100. For bicuspids, the cost is a little steeper, ranging from $400 to $1,800 with a typical cost of $900 to $1,100.
How long does it take for the pain to go away after a root canal?
A successful root canal can cause mild pain for a few days. This is temporary, and should go away on its own as long as you practice good oral hygiene. You should see your dentist for a follow-up if the pain lasts longer than 3 days.
Is it normal to have a little swelling after a root canal?
When there is inflammation and swelling caused by a sick tooth, this ligament can also be swollen and sick. It takes some time for that swelling to reduce and the tissue be normal again after the root canal is completed. That is likely the cause of pain and after several days it should feel much better.
